Tracking consumer energy use habits

Power Ledger and electricity company BCPG partner for solar power trial at Thailand's Chiang Mai University. BCPG uses Power Ledger's peer-to-peer trading platform to study consumers' energy consumption patterns.

Project summary

To help with energy conservation and promote the use of renewable energy by selling electricity to the university.

How the technology works

BCPG plans to study consumers’ energy consumption behaviour by using Power Ledger’s peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading platform.

BCPG will also install a smart distribution network that connects and communicates with the University’s Smart Campus Management Center through Chiang Mai University’s existing information technology system.

We are also looking for further opportunities to bring digital energy to Chiang Mai province as one of the pilot provinces in the special area for the government’s Smart City project for digital economy.
